About us

The wooden bar counter and its stools

A family house

Lambrecht is the name of Élise's grandmother, who ran an estaminet near Roubaix. Her sugar tart is still on the menu, and so is her rule: “Buying well is already cooking well.”

Élise and Mathis met in a Brussels kitchen. In 2021 they took over an old haberdashery in Old Lille, kept its wood panelling and opened a thirty-seat bistro where everything is made on site, from stock to desserts.

Who looks after you

Élise Lambrecht

Chef and co-founder

  • Seasonal cooking
  • Northern recipes

Born in Roubaix, Élise learned to cook with her grandmother before working in Michelin-starred kitchens in Lyon and Brussels. In 2021, she came back north to open Maison Lambrecht: generous, precise bistro cooking with produce from nearby farms.

  • Natural wines
  • Craft beers

Mathis runs the dining room and the cellar. He buys his wines from winemakers he knows, and his beers from breweries around Lille. Ask him for a recommendation: he loves it.

Our producers

Vegetables. An organic market gardener in the Pévèle delivers whatever is ripe, twice a week.

Cream, butter and eggs. A family farm in the Weppes, twenty kilometres from the bistro.

Cheese. An affineur in the Avesnois: maroilles, aged mimolette, Bergues.

Meat. A farmer in inland Flanders, Flemish red cattle.

Beer. Three breweries around Lille, one of them two streets away.

Wine. Organic and natural winemakers whom Mathis visits every year.
